Honestly, I couldn’t wait one more minute. I know myself well enough to know that there was no way in the world I was making it until I got to the airport to reveal my destination. I’m actually very pleased that I made it this far and now I have the weekend to get things together before I fly out on Monday. I have zero regrets peeking. At this point, I’m thinking: Italy, Spain, Portugal and possibly Southern France. Let’s see where I’m going…..

PORTO!! I am super excited – it’s not a destination I would have ever chosen for myself but it definitely checks every box I was looking for: a place I’d never been, a good mix of activities, safe for a female solo traveler, easy to get around and of course, lots of good food! My itinerary (which I will not post, but you can follow along with my daily posts once I’m overseas), is a really great mix of coordinated group activities and leaves a nice amount of solo time to explore on my own. The included guides list recommendations for food, wine, activities etc. and I’m looking forward to taking them up and immersing myself in the culture of Porto.
My adventure officially starts Monday – take off’s late in the evening but I’ll arrive with a half day to explore and get settled which will be perfect.
Did you guess? It was on my list, but the clues definitely kept me guessing because it could have been multiple locations.
